Our impact will be achieved when prosperous, equitable and viable communities in South Africa are maintained. The government of South Africa aims to transform the agricultural sector so that it allows the entry of black people to participate meaningfully in the economy and the food production value chain. Transforming South Africa’s agricultural sector will create jobs, raise incomes, reduce malnutrition, and kick-start the economy on a path to middle-income growth. In fact, almost every industrialized nation began its economic ascent with an agricultural transformation. This is at the heart of MCG’s efforts to foster policies, programmes and projects that allow the agriculture food system, land, and water resources management reforms for a type of transformation that contributes to poverty reduction, as well as food and nutrition security.
