Management and Coordination

When implementing funded projects in consultation with project sponsors, MGC’s best practice approach per project is to establish a management and coordination work package (WP). The WP will be managed through Madzix Management Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Madzix Management Solutions (Pty) Ltd will ensure proper coordination of the project, as well as decision-making, monitoring and evaluation and reporting of the progress of the activities within the project. As far as possible, it will facilitate the building of consensus on progress updates and the next steps. Madzix Management Solutions (Pty) Ltd will utilize a combination of centralized (formal) and distributed (collaborative) management practices. The approach will entail the establishment of a Steering Committee made up of representatives of the partner organisations and project sponsor/funding partner, with the following specific actions:

  • Convening a funded project common visioning workshop at inception.
  • Appointing a Project Coordinator who will provide timely annual technical and financial reports.
  • Convening Steering Committee (SC) meetings bi-annually during the life of the project.
  • Convening Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings annually during the life of the project.
